How will I know that I've completed the sign up process properly?

Once you've entered a phone number for your profile, selected your notification area(s) and selected the 'Submit' button a new screen will load. At the top of the new screen, you will see an alert message indicating that the "Contact was successfully created". This message serves as your confirmation.

You acknowledge this service may send you text or phone messages that may result in charges to your cell phone plan.
You will not receive spam or commercial messages through this service.
You will not receive information regarding other services or programs offered by the City of Prince Rupert.
This service allows residents to add multiple phone numbers and contacts to one account.
The information you provide will be kept confidential.
This is an emergency notification service to inform residents, businesses and visitors in the event of natural or man-made disasters that may impact them. Emergency Alert may be used to issue emergency information City-wide such as imminent threats or AMBER alerts, as well as information targeted to specific areas or neighbourhoods, such as a Tsunami or Earthquake warnings.
This notification will NOT sign you up for City of Prince Rupert Mobile App or other City services.
The mobile app can be found in the Apple or Google app store

The following clauses apply to SMS sent to you by Prince Rupert Notification System using Connect Rocket's platform:

To receive SMS you need to opt-in and agree to receive text message alerts.
The frequency with which SMS is sent may vary.
Message and data rates may apply.
To stop receiving SMS (opt-out) text STOP or ARRET.
